New Delhi: Ford India has announced the launch of the Ecosport SE in the domestic market. The price range starts from Rs. 10.49 lakh for the petrol version and Rs. 10.99 lakh for the diesel one.
The 2021 Ecosport SE helps in expanding the compact range of SUV. Moreover, it gets a different rear end identical to what can be seen in the international market.
The EcoSport sets an early benchmark in replacing the SUV segment for nearly a decade now. It continues to be the best seller ahead of Endeavour every month.
The new Ford Ecosport SE comes with a tyre puncture repair kit, instead of a spare wheel. The tyre puncture kit is offered with both diesel and petrol engine choices. The Chennai-made export version of Ecosport had been revealed nearly six years ago.
The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways claimed that the passenger cars under the M1 class (seating capacity of up to 9 including the driver) are not mandated to be sold with a spare wheel unless technologies like Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) and meeting other criteria.
The number plate has been repositioned which sits exactly at the middle of the tailgate. The tailgate remains to be side hinged.
