NEW DELHI (DIVYA SAINI): Tata Motors is planning to launch its 7 seater SUV Tata Gravitas. The company can launch Gravitas in India as early as 2021. However, no information has been received about whether this launch will happen someday.
Tata Motors was scheduled to launch the Gravitas earlier this year during the festive season but has been pushed ahead due to the COVID- 19 pandemic.
The Gravitas were on display at the Auto Expo 2020. It is basically a larger variant of the Harrier SUV that will get 7 seats. It is 63 mm longer and 80 mm higher than Harrier SUV model.
Engine and power: at 2.0-liter turbocharged diesel engine that will generate maximum power of 168 PS and peak torque of 350 Nm. This engine will be equipped with a 6-speed manual gearbox.
If we talk about the interiors then this SUV has been redesigned. You will see a lot of change in its layout and dashboard. If you talk about the main features, then in this car you will get to see electronic parking brake, ivory color upholstery and door pads with hold function.
Gravitas have been designed on the OMEGARC platform. It uses the new Impact Design 2.0 Philosophy from Tata Motors. In this, customers will get a new slim LED day time running light, big head lamps and projector lamps. It is designed with the Tata Buzzard concept, which was first introduced at the Geneva Motor Show 2019. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual and a new 6-speed automatic.
Specifications include an 8.8-inch touch screen infotainment with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, 9-speaker JBL sound system, automatic climate control, terrain modes, drive modes, cruise control, keyless entry with push-button start and a sunroof.
Safety features include 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, a rearview camera, electronic stability program, hill hold control, and hill descent control.
The Gravitas is expected to be priced at Rs 1 lakh more than the Harrier, which starts from Rs 13.69 lakh.
