New Delhi: September-2021 was proved to be another tough month for the Indian auto industry as several automakers reported a decline in sales, however, some two-wheeler makers managed to post positive growth figures despite the challenging market conditions. In this news, we bring you the report card of the top five scooters that have attracted most of the Indian customers in September-2021.
Honda Activa: It has been ruling the Indian scooter market since its launch. The 'Activa' brand comprises two models - Activa 125 and Activa 6G. Both the scooters have sold a total of 2,43,353 units in September'21. On this figure, Activa is way ahead of the second runner-up in terms of total monthly sales. Also, it is to be noted that this year the sales are down by 4.87% as compared to September 2020. Last year Honda sold a total of 2,57,900 units.
TVS Jupiter: TVS Motor Company's Jupiter is one of the most liked scooters in India. In September'21 sales, the company managed to register a growth of 0.45% in sales over the previous year by selling 56,339 units. Let us know that in September 2020, 56,085 units of Jupiter were sold.
Suzuki Access: Suzuki managed to sell 45,040 units of the Access scooter last month. It was 15.07% lower than last September. Because the company had sold 53,031 units in the same month last year.
Honda Deo: Honda managed to grab another spot in the list with its Dio scooter which sold 34,557 units in September'21. The company registered a growth of 2.73% as compared to September last year.
TVS Ntorq: NTorq 125 ranked fifth in terms of sales in Sep'21. The company sold 29,452 units of Ntorq last month which was 12.63% higher than the sales in September-2020.
