New Delhi: The Bajaj Pulsar has been one of the most popular sports bikes in the Indian automobile market. Even though the number of sports bike manufacturers in India has increased in the last few years, the customer's craze for the Pulsar range has not waned.
One of the reasons behind this is that Bajaj has been updating the Pulsar range with new models and features from time to time. In line with this, Bajaj is now looking to expand its Pulsar series beyond the 220 cc range with the introduction of the Pulsar 250F and NS 250.
According to reports, the new Pulsar 250F and NS 250 will be launched in the last week of October or the first week of November. Spy shots of both these upcoming bikes have gone viral on social media many times. The Pulsar 250 Duo is expected to get LED projector headlamps, stylist LED DRLs, better aerodynamics, split seats, better windscreen and better tyres.
On the engine front, it is likely that the new Pulsar 250 series might get a new 249cc single-cylinder air/oil-cooled engine that will be capable of producing 24bhp and 20Nm of peak torque. This unit will be mated to a 6-speed gearbox with slipper and assist clutch. According to some reports, this engine is also expected to be equipped with Variable Valve Actuation (VVT).
When launched, the new Pulsar 250 will give tough competition to the sibling bikes Yamaha FZ25 and Suzuki Gixxer and SF 250. The price of both these bikes will be between Rs 1.5 lakh and Rs 1.8 lakh.
