At last! Aamir Khan accepts an award...and from Mohan Bhagwat

New Delhi: The jinx has finally broken. Yes, Aamir Khan came on the stage to receive an award for his blockbuster movie Dangal.

Aamir Khan was honoured by RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat for his work in movie Dangal at Master Dinanath Mangeshkar Awards ceremony in Mumbai, yesterday. An emotional Aamir, dressed humbly in a stripped shirt and jeans looked picture perfect.

Besides Aamir, veteran actress Vajyanthimala and cricketer Kapil Dev were also honoured. Aamir received the award ' Vishesh Puraskar' for his excellent performance in Dangal. For the uninitiators, Aamir had stopped going to the award shows as he had some bitter experiences.

An emotional Aamir said: "I want to thank Lata Didi, the Dinanath trust, and their entire family, for bestowing us and our film with this honour. A film starts with a writer, and the respect that we've got across the nation is all thanks to Nitesh's hard work. I have achieved success and immense love from all my fans, thanks to those writers and directors who've written and made my films. I accept this on behalf of my whole team." Legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar also graced the occasion.
