New Delhi: It has happened again. It has happened for the second time in Bengaluru. A driver of ATM van has fled with the van and cash. The incident happened near Benagaluru’s Wind Tunnel Road.
The driver, Sibbin Hussain, hails from Assam and for the past 5 weeks was driving ATM van of Secure Value India.
Filled with Rs 52 lakh cash the van had left Secure Value’s office in the Madiwala area in the afternoon on Saturday. After filling Rs 2 lakh in an ATM, the van headed towards the Wing Tunnel Road for another refill. After reaching the destination at about 5pm, two employees got down the van to refill a bank ATM with Rs 30 lakh cash. It is at this point that the driver fled with the van and remaining Rs 20 lakh cash.
However, unlike in the previous case, the van was traced by Saturday night, but cash was missing. By Sunday morning the cash trunk was recovered, 4 kilometre away from where the van was recovered.
The driver is still at large, and police has formed special teams to nab him. (News24Bureau)
