Amit Shah and Raman Singh release manifesto for Chhattisgarh Assembly elections

New Delhi, News24 Bureau, Nov 10: BJP President Amit Shah and Chhattisgarh CM Raman Singh release manifesto for Chhattisgarh Assembly elections 

In a last attempt to woo voters ahead of the first phase of polling in Chhattisgarh, the ruling BJP has finally released its "game changer" manifesto on Saturday with a special focus on farmers and youth.The Sanklap Patar' is released by BJP president Amit Shah and CM Raman Singh here.Saturday is the last day of campaigning for the first phase of polling for 18 assembly seats in Chhattisgarh on Monday. The second phase, for the remaining 72 constituencies, will be held on November 20.It will be a game changer. The manifesto will put forth the vision for a new Chhattisgarh, which will be among the most developed states of the country by 2025,  says BJP.The manifesto has focus on farmers and youth and has been drafted with guidance from the party's central leadership, including Shah.In the last one decade or so, the state has emerged as the rice bowl of the country and farmers' incomes have jumped manifold.The party says that the manifesto is the BJP's document of its commitments to the people.In the last 15 years of the BJP government, the party has set up an ecosystem in the state, where social justice and development are complementary to each other, the party says.

Chattisgarh will have its elections in two phases. the state has been in highlight because of the Naxal attacks; with two being the major ones in this fortnight itself. 

 A cameraman from national broadcaster Doordarshan was killed in an attack by Naxals in Dantewada's Aranpur area in Chhattisgarh.

The Doordarshan crew was in Chhattisgarh to cover the elections. The first phase of the elections will be held in 18 constituencies in the eight Naxal-affected districts - Bastar, Kanker, Sukma, Bijapur, Dantewada, Narayanpur, Kondagaon and Rajnandgaon.

Before that Four soldiers were killed after Maoists blew up their anti-landmine vehicle in Bijapur district. Two other CRPF jawans were injured in the improvised explosive device or IED blast. 

Doordarshan light assistant Mormukut Sharma also had a close brush with death and posted a video which had gone viral.
