Akhilesh to Big B..Stop campaigning for 'donkeys of Gujarat'

Raebareli (UP): After the `shamshan-kabristan' politics it's time for 'gadha politcs' in Uttar Pradesh. Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav on Monday said Amitabh Bachchan should stop campaigning for the "donkeys of Gujarat". What Akhilesh meant by this and who all was he targeting? Your guess is as good as ours.

"I would request the greatest actor of the century (Amitabh Bachchan) to stop advertising for donkeys of Gujarat," Akhilesh said at an election rally here.

"People of Gujarat are making the actor campaign for donkeys of the state. What will happen if donkeys also start getting advertised?," Akhilesh quipped.

Big B is the brand ambassador of the Gujarat Tourism, and in Ad he is seen promoting Indian Wild Ass Wildlife sanctuary, and describing the features of Indian wild ass. The wild ass, found only in the Little Rann of Kutch in Gujarat, is an endangered animal.

Interestingly, a day before, speaking at a rally in Fatehpur, PM Narendra Modi had attacked Akhilesh Yadav.

"If a village gets a graveyard, it should get a cremation ground too. If there is electricity during Ramzan, there should be electricity during Diwali too. If there is electricity during Holi, there should be electricity during Eid too. There should not be any discrimination," PM said on Sunday.
