New Delhi, Nov 22: Ajay Devgan and Kajol are quite famous in Bollywood and the couple is also popularly known as power couple of the industry.
The couple got married in the year 1999 and it is been 19 years of togetherness for them. Despite so many years, the spark in their marial life is still alive. We often spot the two visiting beautiful destinations and sharing pictures of their intimate moments in public.
Despite spending so many years in the film industry, Ajay and Kajol are still one of the most sought-after actors of the film industry.
Kajol and Ajay's love story is also nothing less from a film script. Ajay met Kajol on the sets of 1995 film Hulchul and in the first meeting no spark flew between them. Kajol landed the project due to sudden death of actress Divya Bharti.
Nothing special happened between Ajay and Kajol and the two did not even become friends.
When Kajol first saw Ajay, her first impression was not that high. During a chat show, Kajol revealed what she felt when she saw Ajay for the first time, "Who’s this guy? What kind of a personality does he have? He sits in one corner and smokes like a chimney and even doesn’t speak to anybody.”
However, the notion began changing gradually and somehow Kajol was confident about Ajay playing a vital role in her life. The two became friends so much so that Kajol began taking love advice from him. Even Ajay was dating another girl at the time.
Two years after getting out of their respective relationships, during the post-production stage of their movie Gundaraj, Kajol and Ajay began dating each other. After four years of their courtship, the couple thought of getting married in an intimate ceremony as Ajay is an introvert didn’t prefer media attention. In his own words, Ajay once said, “We never resorted to the usual ‘I Love you’ routine. A proposal never happened. We grew with each other. Marriage was never discussed, but it was always imminent.”
Ajay and Kajol got married in typical Maharashtrian style wedding on February 24, 1999 at Ajay’s residence.
Talking about her husband, Kajol once said, “He is not a romantic person who will buy me a rose on a Valentine’s Day and I have to always remind him our wedding anniversary three days in advance but he always looks out for me. I never feel unsafe anywhere because I know he is always behind me standing there for me. He backs me one hundred percent and he knows I am there for him as well.”
