New Delhi: One of the most versatile actor in the Indian cinema just expressed her love and experienced a sheer moment of pride in Melbourne. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan along with her baby daughter, Aaradhya hoisted the Indian Flag while celebrating India's 70th years of Independence. Not only this, the two also honored the country by singing the National Anthem, Jana Gana Mana.
While, Aishwarya stole the show with her beautiful look, wearing a white and light blue Anarkali, daughter Aaradhya twinned with mommy, carrying the fairy look by wearing a white Indian lehenga. The crowd couldn't stop drooling over the mother-daughter bond on the stage.
Aishwarya,who is the first female actor ever to hoist Indian National Flag at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne(IFFM),thanking Melbourne for a great honor said in her speech “Thank you so much Melbourne, thank you everyone for giving us such a moment of pride and happiness with so much love and warmth. Celebrating our 70th Independence Day will forever be such a beautiful memory for me and my dearest Aaradhya.”
However, the actress spoke in Hindi and then translated it to English for non-Indians. Many A-listers like Karan Johar, Dangal fame Nitesh Tiwari, Baahubali producer Shobu Yarlagadda, Shilpa Shetty, Sushant Singh Rajput, Rajkummar Rao and others were seen being a part of this event.
On the work front, Aishwarya Rai will soon begin shooting for her upcoming flick 'Fanney Khan', opposite Anil Kapoor.
