AIADMK's Dinakaran arrested for bribing voters

New Delhi: AIADMK leader T.T.V. Dinakaran was arrested by Delhi Police on Tuesday night after four days of grilling in the EC bribery case.

Dinakaran was accused of trying to bribe an Election Commission (EC) official to retain the AIADMK symbol of ‘two leaves’ for his AIADMK (Amma) for the RK Nagar bypolls in Tamil Nadu.

The RK Nagar constituency was held by former Tamil Nadu chief minister J. Jayalalithaa until her death on 5 December 2016, necessitating the bypolls.
