New Delhi, March 1 :Four days have passed since the veteran actress Sridevi breathed her last in Dubai. The actress was cremated with state honors yesterday.  Her family members, colleagues, fans bid their final goodbye to her.

Sridevi’s family released a statement while remembering her and thanking all the fans and media for the love and support that was given to her.  Sonam Kapoor shared a post on her social media handle which states “The past few days have been tiring times for us as a family. Today, particularly, has been the hardest of all. We laid to rest a beautiful soul who has gone to soon. She leaves behind a legacy that is unique. Her talent was undeniable, her beauty unmatched and her ability to connect with the audience was legendary. Sri had the same connect with her family as well.”

The post also stated,” The one thing that helped us all get through her last few days, was amazing amount of love and support from everyone. This outpouring of love is the memory that we would like Khushi and Jhanvi to have of their mother. A woman who was loved unquestionably by everyone.”

The family has requested the media and fans to respect the privacy of the family. The post states “to the member of media we ask you to respect the privacy of the family and allow us the space to grieve. Sri lived her life with dignity and we implore, that you give her the same respect.”

Sridevi’s demise has left those close to her in a state of shock, specially her daughters, Jhanvi and Khushi. The family asks the fans to love both the daughter with same kind of love and support which they have showered on Sridevi always.

“Let us all who loved Sri, envelope her two little ones, her life, as she often called them, with as much or more love than we gave Sri so that they can live their lives ahead with a little less ache in their hearts. Let us help them remember their mother fondly, with that beloved twinkle in her eyes, and help them build a life and be what Sri had dreamt for them, “The statement added.
