New Delhi: British singer- songwriter Adele’s latest hit “Hello” set a new world record by reaching a staggering one billion views on the popular video-sharing platform YouTube in mere 88 days after it was uploaded.
This record was earlier held by PSY’s South Korean dance track “Gangnam Style”, which became the first video to receive 1 billion views in 159 days after it was uploaded.
The Grammy winning musician Adele’s comeback single received a whopping 27.7 million views in the first day after it was uploaded.
“Adele's landmark YouTube achievement comes shortly after she achieved her first Guinness World Records title with Most views for an act on VEVO in 24 hours,” Guinness World Records wrote.
As of 20 January 2016, "Hello" had attracted 1,008,367,184 views.
