London: Kesha has a new supporter and its none other than the biggest star in music recording industry- Adele.
The multi-Grammy wining singer won four awards at the BRIT Awards including Best British Female Solo Artist, Best British Single for “Hello”, Best Album for “25” and Global Success Award.
While accepting the award for best female solo artist, the songstress took her time on stage to extend support to Kesha, who is currently battling Dr. Luke in a lawsuit alleging that he abused her physically and emotionally.
“Thank you so much. To come back after so long away and be so warmly received is really lovely. Thank you so much. And to all the other girls that are nominated, thank you for letting me be in your company. You’re all incredible, you’re all amazing and it’s a privilege to be alongside you,” she said on accepting her award.
After thanking her management and record label “for embracing the fact that I’m a woman”, Adele acknowledged Kesha’s lawsuit against her producer Dr. Luke and added that, “I’d also like to take this moment to publicly support Kesha.”
With this, Adele joins the like of Lady Gaga, Ariana Grande, Demi Lovato, Kelly Clarkson and others, who have supported Kesha.
