Aameen! Muslims should stop eating beef, says Ajmer Dargah chief

Ajmer: Days for hardliners in all religions are numbered. Taking on the hardliners, the spiritual head of the revered shrine of Sufi saint Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti in Ajmer has called upon the Muslims to give up beef. He also asked the community to shun the practice of triple talaq.

"On the occasion of 805th Urs, I and my family has decided to shun consumption of beef in every form and appeal to the community to do so. Cow is revered for our fellow Hindus and we can do so for restoration of communal harmony" Deewan Syed Zainul Abaedeem Alisaid Syeed Zainul said. He also demanded a blanket ban on beef across the country. He was addressing spiritual heads and Sufi clerics on the last day of the 805th annual Urs celebrations of Khwaja here on Monday.

The spritual head of the shrine is also a descendant of Khwaja Moinuddin. Thus,  he has a great influence over lakhs of his followers.

He added that contemporary triple talaq is against Shariyat."The practice of announcing triple talaq at one go is unislamic and deteriorating for self respect of Muslim women and it should be avoided," the Sufi saint added
