A tribal man lynched, insensitive crowd clicks selfies

New Delhi, Feb 23: In a shocking incident at Palakadd in Kerala a tribal man was mobbed and then lynched to death.  Man named Madhu was accused of theft and later tied up and then beaten and killed in Kerala. This is not just it. The saga of insensitivity continues as mob was seen taking selfies. As the photographs going viral on social media show, the man can be seen tied up and people around him can be seen standing next to him and clicking pictures wearing a smiling face for the camera.

The video clearly shows how some men are frisking Madhu and checking his bags. All this while a man is seen hitting Madhu from behind. The man was later handed over to the police and on the way to the hospital he succumbed to his injuries.

State police chief and DGP Lokanath Behra later said, "We cannot let people take law into their hands".

"Three people have already been taken into custody and an investigation is underway. We cannot accept such incidents at any cost," said Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan in his Facebook post condemning the incident.
