New Delhi: One street vendor, who sells food in and around Mumbai, is said to have declared Rs 50 crore under the Income Disclosure Scheme which closed on Friday. The vendor will now have to pay a tax of Rs 22.50 crore to turn his black money into white. Based on reports, here are some key points about the crorepati vendors of Mumbai. • Many street vendors have turned out to be crorepatis. • One food vendor has declared assets worth Rs 50 cr • One street vendor dealing in juice has declared assets of Rs 5 cr • Some vendors have declared black money in range of Rs 25 lakh to Rs 2 crore • Recently IT department had raided over 200 street vendors in Mumbai It is being said that of the total Rs 65,250 black money declared under the IDS, Mumbai, Navi Mumbai and Thane have accounted for over Rs 5000 crore..
