New Delhi, July 19: In a shocking story in Bihar, three people were beaten to death by locals in Baniyapur, Saran on suspicion of cattle theft, today morning. Bodies have been sent for postmortem by police and investigation is underway.
According to a tweet by ANI, the incident took place in Baniyapur in Saran district on Friday morning. As soon as the incident was reported, police rushed to the spot to see and gauge the situation. Reports suggest that the bodies of the two victims were sent for postmortem. An investigation into the matter has been initiated.
Earlier on June 17, while one Ansari was returning home, he was brutally thrashed by a mob for alleged theft. He succumbed to his injuries on June 22.Eleven people were arrested in connection with his death. On July 5, some miscreants wounded a youth with a knife, beat up some people and broke windowpanes of vehicles in Ranchi city.

Hearing a PIL filed by Pankaj Yadav demanding a high- level inquiry into the incident, the division bench of justices H C Mishra and Deepak Roshan asked the state government to submit an action taken report on July 17, the next date of hearing of the case.
