New Delhi, June 24: Jio's upcoming GigaFiber broadband service has been in talks for a while now after it was launched under the public beta mode.The market is expecting GigaFiber to undercut all existing broadband operators with a new pricing strategy.According to leaks, the base plan will offer speeds of 50Mbps and will be available for Rs 600 per month. While, the 100Mbps plan that has been available to Preview subscribers is expected to cost Rs 1,000 per month.These are unconfirmed prices and Jio hasn't commented officially. The launch is expected to take place within a few weeks.Earlier, Reliance Jio came up with another offer to lure its customers. For availing Jio GigaFiber broadband service a customer had to earlier pay a security deposit of Rs. 4,500. But now the rate has been slashed. Now, the customers have to only pay 2,500 which is 2,000 lower than the previous rate.As per previous leaks, the company will offer a Triple Play Plan, the plan would cost Rs 600 per month and offer 100GB data per month at speeds of 100Mbps.Previously, the Jio Home Gateway supported dual-band connectivity with 2.4GHz and 5GHz frequencies. With the currently offered plan, the device is now capable of offering 1Gbps speeds. User can avail a free 1,100GB monthly data access with this new version of Jio GigaFiber service.Reportedly, an early subscribers has said that on DreamDTH forums also brings access to the Jio TV app.
