10 reasons why we’ll miss Professor Snape

New Delhi: The wizard world won’t be the same anymore as Alan Rickman, the British actor who played the role of Professor Severus Snape in the Harry Potter series, passed away yesterday at the age of 69 following a long battle with cancer.

Rickman started his acting career working with Royal Shakespeare Company in 1970s and 80s, before moving on to British TV shows and movies. However, he rose to fame playing the character of the ‘ultimately villain’ Severus Snape in the Harry Potter series.

Here are ten reasons why we’ll miss Professor Snape:

1. He had an innate sense of sarcasm

“Five more points from Gryffindor for being for being an insufferable KNOW-IT-ALL.”

2. He was never afraid to tell the truth

3. He was not star struck by Harry

"I do not take cheek from anyone, Potter . . . not even ‘the Chosen One’.”

4. He was always right

“Well, it may have escaped your notice, but life isn’t fair.”

5. He loved Lily till the end

“After all this time?” “ALWAYS.”

6. He taught us about self control

“Control your emotions.”

7. He had a kind soul

“And my soul, Dumbledore? Mine?”

8. He always gave the best compliments

“You have your mother’s eyes.”

9. He inspired us to be honest

“Don’t lie to me.”

10. He knew all about life

“Vengeance is sweet.”

Rest in Peace Alan Rickman. You will be remembered...ALWAYS.
