The TMC has raiseed questions over Election Commission data.
"Voting for Kanthi South and Kanthi North seat at 18:13 was 18.47 percent and 18.95 percent respectively. Four minutes later, the polling number dropped to 10.60 percent and 9.40 percent at 9.17 pm. Such discrepancy questions the genuineness of the data released by the Election Commission," TMC leader Derek O'Brien wrote to the Election Commission.

Trinamool Congress (TMC) MP Saugata Roy has slammed newly-inducted Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) member Mithun Chakraborty.
The TMC leader said that Mithun Chakraborty was naxalite.
"Mithun Chakraborty has changed parties four times. He was originally a Naxalite, then went to the CPI (M), then joined the TMC and was made a Rajya Sabha MP," Saugata Roy said.

Trinamool Congress (TMC) chairperson and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Friday announced the list of candidates for 291 assembly seats out of a total of 294.
Rejecting all speculation, the Chief Minister of West Bengal announced that she would contest from the Nandigram seat.
"Today, we are releasing a list of 291 candidates, including 50 women, 42 Muslim candidates. In 3 seats in North Bengal, we are not putting our candidates. I will contest from Nandigram," she said.
