New Delhi: World Aids Day is celebrated worldwide on 1 December every year. The day is celebrated to show support for people suffering from HIV.  Let us tell you that the first World AIDS Day was celebrated on 1 December 1988.

In the early days, it was associated only with children and youth, but later it was found that HIV AIDS infection can affect a person of any age. So today we will give you all the information about the symptoms, causes and prevention of HIV AIDS in this article.

World aids day theme 2022

Let us tell you that every year a fixed theme is kept to celebrate World Aids Day. This time the theme of World AIDS Day (World AIDS Day theme 2022) has been kept as Equalize. It means equality. This day is a day to remember all the people who have lost their lives due to this deadly disease.

Symptoms of HIV infection

Symptoms begin to appear within two to four weeks in a person suffering from HIV infection. Early symptoms may resemble those of the flu, including fever, headache, rash or sore throat. But after the infection progresses, some other serious symptoms start appearing. like-

Swollen lymph nodes
Rapid weight loss
Diarrhea and cough
Get fever
Severe bacterial infection
Develop certain types of cancer

How to prevent infection

Do not have sex with anyone other than your life partner.

Women suffering from AIDS should not get pregnant, because the child born to them can get this disease.

When blood is needed, do not take the blood of an unknown person, and for safe blood, take only HIV tested blood.

Use disposable syringes and needles and other medical instruments only after sterilizing them by boiling them in water for 20 minutes.
