President Vladimir Putin has landed in India shortly, and witnessing the high vigilance around him, keeping an eye on every aspect that relates to him, it is only evident that netizens are questioning what the president eats while on foreign trips. This is his first visit to India in the last 4 years. The fast-changing global trade perspectives further align the meeting to be of utmost importance. Since every aspect of his daily life is closely monitored, his food must be too, right? So what does President Putin eat when in India or anywhere abroad?
As per media reports, every time a highly special menu is prepared for him, taking into account his preferences and his strict diet and safety regulations. All the cooking is carried out by a special culinary chef. Putin’s food is prepared individually, and each dish is checked multiple times.
Dinner at Hyderbad House
This time again, Putin will have a private dinner with PM Modi at Hyderabad House. The menu available for dinner will be specifically curated based on his recommendations. The dishes will be prepared keeping Indian flavours in perspective. Several dishes were prepared for him when he visited the last time — here is a list of all of them.
During the dinner that was hosted by former President Pranab Mukherjee for Putin in 2014, Kashmiri flavours influenced the spread. The dinner began with Kahwa, a saffron-based drink from Kashmir. From then on, he was offered Haak Ka Saag, a spinach-like leafy vegetable that is cooked in its own juices.
Beyond the saag, the menu also had galouti kebab, korma, and various other non-veg dishes as well. Beyond this, specialty chefs had prepared almond curries, mushroom, and paneer. The whole spread commemorated the diversity of our culture with different dishes from different parts of the nation.
What does Putin like to eat
Putin takes a rather normal diet every day. As per a report by Aaj Tak, he starts his day with porridge and cottage cheese along with eggs and juice. He likes to have salads, and beyond that, he likes to consume kefir, a fermented drink, as well.
