Summer Desserts: Afghani Ice cream Ingredients

  • 4 Afghan biscuits
  • 1 ripe green skinned banana
  • ½ cup vanilla ice cream
  • 4 tablespoons chocolate ganache
  • 2 tablespoons chopped walnuts

Method

Take four short glasses and place one biscuit in each.

Thinly slice the banana and place two to three pieces in the glass.

Using a tiny scooper, place one scoop of ice cream in each glass.

Microwave the chocolate ganache for a minute, then drizzle one tablespoon into each glass and decorate with walnuts. Serve right away.

Summer Desserts: Aamras Ingredients

  • 4 medium mangoes
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • ½ teaspoon green cardamom powder
  • ¼ teaspoon nutmeg powder
  • Puris for serving

Method

Roll and crush the mangoes on the work surface to loosen the flesh within.

Remove the eye from each mango, then squeeze out the pulp into a basin, discarding the peel and seed.

Whisk in the powdered sugar, cardamom powder, and nutmeg powder until the mango pulp is smooth.

With hot puris, serve.
