Potato Koftas: Potato is called the king of vegetables which is found in almost every vegetable. Many dishes are made from it which looks very tasty to eat. You must have eaten potato parathas, vegetables, pakoras many times, eating which you might have become bored too, but have you ever eaten potato koftas? These are so tasty to eat that whoever eats them once cannot forget the taste.

Today we are also going to tell you the recipe for making Potato Kofta which will change the taste of your mouth.

Potato Koftas: Ingredients

Boiled potatoes – 4
Gram flour 4 tbsp
red chili half teaspoon
Turmeric quarter teaspoon
salt half teaspoon

Ingredients for making kofta gravy

Onion – 4
Tomato – 4
Green chili – 1 to 2
Coriander chopped – 1 tbsp
Cream – 3/4 cup
Ginger – 1 inch piece
Cumin – 1/2 tsp
Red chili powder – 1/4 tsp
Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp
Coriander powder – 1 teaspoon
Garam masala – 1/2 tsp
salt – as per taste
oil – as needed

Recipe

  • To make potato koftas, first boil the potatoes and grate them.
  • Now mix potatoes, gram flour, salt, turmeric powder, chilli powder and coriander powder in it.
  • After this, take this prepared mixture and prepare small balls.
  • Now heat oil in a pan for frying the koftas.
  • When the oil becomes hot, put potato balls in it and fry them till they become light golden.
  • Now you are ready to make gravy, for this you put oil in a pan and heat it.
  • After this, add finely chopped onions, tomatoes and green chilies to it.
  • Now fry it till it turns brown and then add all the spices to it.
  • Now cool these spices and then put them in the mixer and grind them.
  • After this, put some oil in the pan and heat it and then put the ground spices in it.
  • Also add cream to the pan and mix it well, now cook the gravy till oil separates.
  • After this, add 2 cups of water to it and then cook till it comes to a boil.
  • After this, you put prepared koftas in it and then cook for 2 minutes.
  • Now your potato koftas are ready, garnish them with green coriander and serve hot.
