New Delhi: Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is all geared up for her next big release Ponniyin Selvan I. Helmed by Mani Ratnam, the movie also stars Vikram and Trisha Krishnan as the leads. The period drama is all set to release on September 30.
On Monday, Aishwarya took to her Instagram handle and posted a picture of herself and thanked all her fans for the warmth and love they showered to PS I. This comes after a grand Mumbai event for the film.
In the picture, the actress looks purely beautiful in a white salwar suit with big drop earrings and a red ‘bindi’.
Expressing her gratitude towards her fans, Aish penned a sweet note that reads, “❤️Thank you all for your love, warmest wishes and blessings… Lots of love always💝.”

Meanwhile, earlier Aishwarya shared her experience working with Mani Ratnam. She said, “I worked in my first film with Mani garu, who is my guru. I regard myself blessed that I got the opportunity to start my journey as an actor working with him. He’s the perfect school and the perfect guru.”
Aishwarya Rai even revealed that her daughter Aradhya once got a chance to visit her on the sets of Ponniyin Selvan I and she was all excited.
She said, “Seeing a period drama is always exciting and she did get the opportunity to visit me on set. It’s mesmerising, I could see that in her eyes. She already knows my admiration for working with him. She respects him, and she is awe of him too. Sir too made her feel warm and his affection is so sweet.”
Coming to the movie, ‘Ponniyin Selvan: I’ is adapted from Kalki Krishnamurthy’s novel by the same name. It will be released in Tamil along with the dubbed versions in Hindi, Kannada, Telugu, and Malayalam.
