Oats Upma Recipe: Ingredients
- Rolled Oats
- 1 tsp mustard
- ½ tsp urad dal
- ½ tsp cumin
- curry leaves
- 10 cashews
- 1 inch ginger
- 2 chilies
- ½ onion
- ½ carrot
- 5 beans
- ¼ capsicum
- 2 tbsp peas
- ½ tsp turmeric
- ½ tsp salt
- 2 tbsp coriander leaves
- 2 tbsp coconut
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
Method
- First roast the rolled oats in a pan for about 5 minutes.
- After this take it out in a plate and keep it.
- Now heat 1 teaspoon oil in a pan on the gas.
- After this add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, urad dal and few curry leaves.
- Now add cashews and saute till they turn golden brown.
- After this, fry ginger, green chillies and onions.
- Also add turmeric and salt along with carrots, beans, capsicum, peas.
- Stir fry for two minutes.
- Sprinkle little water and boil covered for 5 minutes.
- After this add 1 cup of water and boil again.
- After this add roasted oats to it and mix well.
- Boil the oats for about 5 minutes till they are well cooked.
- Now add salt, coriander leaves, grated coconut and lemon juice to it.
- In this way oats upma will be ready, you can serve it.
