Methi Chole Recipe: If there is a diabetic patient in your house and they are bored of eating the same thing again and again, then you can feed them with Methi Chole. Eating this will not harm the patient, and there will be a change in his health. Along with this, it also controls the sugar level of the patient and reduces stress and anxiety.

According to research, fenugreek helps in reducing blood sugar, and apart from this, it also increases the testosterone level and also increases the production of milk in lactating women. Fenugreek also helps in reducing bad cholesterol and triglycerides. 

Ingredients 

Chickpeas soaked overnight for 8 hours – 3 cups, Fenugreek leaves – 4 cups, Ghee – 2 teaspoons, Cumin seeds – 2 teaspoons, Bay leaves – 2, Chopped onions – 4, Chopped green chillies – 2, Turmeric powder – 1 teaspoon, Chili powder – 2 tsp Garam masala – 1 tsp Coriander powder – 2 tsp Tomato chopped – 4

Method

First of all, cook the soaked chickpeas in a pressure cooker for 7 to 8 whistles and cook it and keep it aside. After that, take a pan, put ghee in it and add cumin seeds, bay leaves, garlic, ginger, green chillies and chopped onions. Add salt, turmeric powder and tomatoes to it and mix it and let it cook on a medium flame for some time.

After this add fenugreek leaves to it and then add red chilli powder, cumin powder, garam masala powder and coriander powder and keep roasting it on low flame for some time. Along with this, add cooked chickpeas to it and stir for some time on low flame, and your methi chole will be ready in no time. After this, you can feed it to a diabetic patient.
