You need a few ingredients to make this spicy dal. Today we are going to tell you the recipe for Masoor Dal, which will make you fall in love with the taste.

Masoor Dal recipe: Ingredients

Masoor dal – 1 bowl, Green chilli – 2, Turmeric – 1/2 tsp, Bay leaf – 1, Dry red chilli – 2, Panch phoran masala – 1 tsp, Green coriander – 1 tbsp, Mustard oil – 1 tbsp, Salt – as per taste

Method

  • To make lentils, first, you have to wash the lentils thoroughly and then soak them in water for half an hour, so that the lentils swell and cook easily. 
  • After this, put the lentils in the pressure cooker and add turmeric, salt and green chillies to it, close the lid and keep it on the gas to cook.
  • After this, cook it till two whistles come and then turn off the gas. After this, you have to prepare masala and for this, you take a pan and put oil in it. When it becomes hot, cook cumin, bay leaf, turmeric and garam masala in it.
  • After this, mix the roasted spices in it and cook it on low flame. After this, you can also add green coriander to it and serve it with roti and rice.
