- In this recipe, we add a layer of spiced potatoes to the classic uttapam. First of all, heat oil in a pan and add gram, urad dal and mustard seeds. Then let it explode. After this, add asafoetida, ginger, green chillies and onions and cook for some time. Then add boiled potatoes and curry leaves to it and fry all the things together.
- Now, pour the rice and dal batter, prepare the uttapam, layer the spiced potatoes and cook for a while. Flip the uttapam, and roast it from the other side as well. Then masala uttapam will be ready. You can also make a chutney of your choice with it.
