His unique style and diverse influences have garnered attention, and he’s become an integral part of Dubai’s nightlife. Born in Dubai, UAE, Brendan Lopes’ musical journey began at an early age. His love for music became evident at the age of 10 when he started collecting tracks, primarily focusing on rap, hip-hop, and the top 40 commercial hits. This early passion for music laid the foundation for his future in the industry.
After completing his schooling, Brendan’s pursuit of a career in music led him to the SAE Institute in Dubai, where he earned a Digital DJ Certificate. Remarkably, he was awarded a full scholarship for this course.
Following his first job, Brendan Lopes made a pivotal decision to transition to DJ Academy Dubai in 2015. At the academy, he took on the roles of both a videographer and a DJ instructor. By day, he shared his knowledge with aspiring DJs, helping them navigate the intricacies of the profession. By night, Brendan focused his camera lens on Dubai’s nightlife scene, capturing the vibrant energy of the city’s numerous clubs and venues
Simultaneously, Brendan embarked on a freelance DJ career, initially performing at private parties and events on weekends. Alongside a group of like-minded friends, they founded “Jigsaw Events,” creating memorable musical experiences in the form of small house parties during their college days.
This year, Brendan has ventured into VDJ’ing, expanding his horizons and exploring new avenues for his musical prowess.
“My goal has always been to create a unique sound that resonates with Dubai’s cosmopolitan and diverse audience. Dubai is a melting pot of cultures and music, and I aim to reflect that diversity in my sets. I’ve been fortunate to study and work in the city I call home, and I’m excited to continue contributing to its musical landscape,” Brendan said.
