Holi 2023 Recipe: Nagori Puri Ingredients
- Semolina (1 cup)
- Maida (1 cup)
- Ghee (4 tbsp)
- Ajwain (1 tsp)
- salt to taste
- Oil for deep frying (as needed)
- Nagori Halwa Ingredients
- Semolina (1 cup)
- Sugar (1 cup)
- Ghee (100 grams)
- Cardamom (3)
- water (3 cups)
- Shredded Coconut (100 grams)
- Cashews, almonds, pistachios etc. (150 grams)
Nagori Puri Halwa Recipe
In this recipe, you have to first prepare the dough for puri. For this, peel semolina and flour in a plate and add celery, salt and a little ghee to it.
After this mix all the ingredients and knead the dough for puri. After this, keep the kneaded dough covered for half an hour.
Now heat enough oil in a pan to make pooris. After this make small balls of the dough and roll out the pooris and fry them. Make all the puris in this way and keep them.
After this start making pudding. For this, heat a pan on the gas. Add about two spoons of desi ghee to it. Now add semolina and continue roasting till it turns golden in colour.
Make sugar syrup by heating water and sugar in a vessel. After this, heat about 50 grams of desi ghee in a pan. Add roasted semolina to it. After this add cardamom powder and stir for two minutes.
In the meantime the list has to be kept on going. After this, when the water starts drying, add chopped dry fruits (cashews, almonds etc.) to it. After this, add chopped coconut from above and mix it well. In this way the halwa will be ready. You can serve halwa with puri.
