Actually, today we have brought Handvo for you as a Gujarati special dish. It is very much liked as a healthy breakfast. It is made from bottle gourd which is full of taste and also beneficial for health.

Handvo Recipe: Ingredients

  • Rice 1 cup
  • Chana dal 1/2 cup
  • Toor Dal 1/4 cup
  • Curd 1/2 cup
  • Urad Dal 2 tbsp
  • Cabbage grated 1/2 cup
  • Carrot grated 1/4 cup
  • Bottle gourd grated 1 cup
  • Ginger paste 1/2 tsp
  • Green chili chopped 1
  • Turmeric 1/4 tsp
  • Rai 3/4 tsp
  • Cumin 1/2 tsp
  • Sesame seeds 1 tsp
  • Curry leaves 10-12
  • Asafoetida 1 pinch
  • Fruit salt 1 tsp
  • oil 4 tbsp
  • Green coriander leaves 2-3 tbsp
  • Red chili powder 1/4 tsp
  • salt to taste

Method

First of all, clean gram dal, rice, urad dal and toor dal in a bowl. After this, wash them with two to three water and clean them. Now put water in a vessel to soak it.

Leave to soak for about 4 hours. After that remove the water from it. Put them in a mixer jar and prepare a paste. To make a paste, prepare a thick paste by adding half a cup of curd to it. Now put this batter in a big bowl and keep it to cool. After this it will be ready. You can serve it.
