Gulab Jamun Curry Recipe: Ingredients
Maida – 1 cup, Mawa – ½ cup, Paneer – ½ cup, Water as needed – for kneading the dough, Desi Ghee / Vegetable Oil – 1 cup for frying Gulab Jamun, Fried Gulab Jamun without syrup – 10-12, Fresh curd – 1 cup, Onion – 2 big, Green chili – 2 pieces, Ginger – 1 piece, Cashew nuts 8-10 pieces, Desi ghee/butter 5-6 tbsp, Malai/cream – 2 tbsp, Coriander leaves
Spices
Red chili powder – ½ tsp Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp Coriander powder – 3 tbsp Kasoori methi – 1/2 tsp Whole garam masala – Bay leaf – 2-3 leaves Cloves – 2-3 pieces, cardamom – 3-4 pieces and cinnamon – 1 small piece salt, asafoetida, cumin as per taste
Recipe
To make Gulab Jamun curry, you must first make Gulab Jamun. For this, first of all prepare a soft dough by taking grated mawa, refined flour and grated cheese in a plate. After this, make small balls and fry them in a pan in oil/ghee till they become golden.
Add onion, green chili, cashew
After this, to make Gulab Jamun vegetable, you have to put fried Gulab Jamun in lukewarm water for 10-15 minutes. After this, put chopped pieces of onion, green chili, cashew and ginger in the grinder jar and grind it to make a paste.
Fry for 15-20 minutes
After this, put desi ghee in a pan and add cumin, asafoetida and whole garam masala for tempering. Then add onion paste to it and fry for 15-20 minutes till ghee separates from the paste and add all the spices and fry for 8-10 minutes on medium flame.
Add yogurt
After this, mix curd well in it and cook on medium flame while stirring continuously. After this add cream or kasoori fenugreek to it and turn off the gas. In this way your Gulab Jamun curry is ready. Now you can serve it to eat.
