Fruit Cake Recipe: Ingredients
- Fine flour
- Jaggery
- Milk
- butter
- Walnut
- lemon zest
- Baking soda
- baking powder
- vanilla extract
- Fruit Cake Mix
- ginger powder
- Dates (chopped)
- icing powder
nutmeg powder - clove powder
- cinnamon powder
- roasted nuts like almonds
Preparation
Take the milk and butter out of the fridge so they can come to room temperature before you start baking. Apart from this, preheat the oven first. Its oven has to be preheated to 150 C (300 F). Also prepare the baking tray for making the cake.
Method
To make fruitcake, first sift all the dry ingredients like baking powder, flour, spices and baking soda together and put them in a bowl. Also add melted butter to it.
Add oil, milk, jaggery and chopped dates to it. Apart from this, add vanilla extract to it. Now add nuts and lemon zest and mix. Now mix dry fruits with water in it.
Do not stir much to make its batter. Now put it in a cake tin and bake it in the oven. Keep the cake in the oven for baking for 1.5 hours or until it turns golden brown.
You can check with the help of a tooth pick. If the toothpick comes out clean, then the cake is ready. It will be ready in about 2 hours. Before eating the cake, keep it in the fridge to cool and then take it out of the tin and serve it.
