Butter Chicken recipe: Simply hearing the name “Butter Chicken” can make you crave this traditional Indian dish. This Butter Chicken recipe is delicious and simple to make.
Ingredients
- For the marinade:
- Raw Chicken
- 2 tsp Red Chilli Powder
- 2 tsp Ginger-Garlic Paste
- 2 tsp Salt
- 2 tsp Lemon Juice
- 1/2 cup Curd
- 1/2 tsp Garam Masala
- 1 tsp Kasuri Methi
- 2 tsp Mustard Oil
2. For gravy:
- 2 tsp Oil
- 2 to taste Butter Cubes
- 3-gram Cloves
- 1 Cinnamon Stick, sliced
- 1 tsp Mace
- 7 Cardamom
- 4 Tomatoes, chopped
- 1 tsp Garlic
- 1 tsp Ginger
- 1 tsp Ginger-Garlic Paste
- 1 1/2 tsp Red Chilli Powder
- 1 tsp Kasuri Methi
- 2 tsp Honey1 Green Chilli
- 2 tsp Cardamom Powder
- 1 tbsp Cream
Butter Chicken: How to make it?
- For marination:
- Raw chicken pieces should be added to a mixing bowl along with salt, red pepper flakes, ginger garlic paste, and lemon juice. Mix well.
- For around 15 to 20 minutes, refrigerate.
- Add curd this time to the chilled mixture. Salt, ginger-garlic paste, red chilli flakes, garam masala, kasuri methi, and mustard oil are placed after that. Mix thoroughly, then chill for one additional hour.
- When the chicken is three-fourths done, roast it in the oven for about 30 minutes.
2. For the chicken gravy:
- In a pan with butter, heat two tablespoons of oil.
- Include cardamom, mace, cinnamon stick, and cloves. Add chopped tomatoes, garlic, and ginger after sautéing. Blend thoroughly, then finely ground.
- Heat the ginger garlic paste and two more cubes of butter in a separate pan.
- Include the mixture’s tomato puree. The roasted chicken pieces are now added, followed by red chilli powder, kasuri methi, and honey. Ladle it out.
- Include cream, green chilli, and cardamom powder. Mix well.
- Add a spoonful of cream when serving.
