Kitchen organises: It’s the perfect time to clean up the clutter and declutter your home for a fresh start. What could be better than starting with the kitchen itself? A well-organized kitchen not only makes cooking more pleasant but also makes storage easier. From efficient use of space to decluttering your kitchen, here are seven tips for keeping your kitchen neat.
1. Drawer Partitions
We all have drawers in our kitchens filled with half-empty packets of spices, dal and other groceries. Not only does this clutter your drawers, but it also makes it a little harder to find groceries when you need them. To organize your packages, use drawer dividers that you can insert into drawers as needed to keep everything organized.
2. Grouping Items
Grouping common items makes it easier to find specific items. For example, is there a specific shelf with all kinds of dals? Similarly, you can allocate an entire shelf to spices that can hold jars of all your regularly used spices, such as turmeric, red chilli powder, coriander powder, garam masala, and whole spices.
3. Corner Shelves
No space in your kitchen? Use the corner shelf to store glasses, mugs and other small items. The corner shelf can be easily attached to the wall using nails or vacuum anchors.

4. Wall Hooks
Another great way to store more items in less space is with wall hooks. Simply attach the hanging hooks to your kitchen wall and hang them to store your items. Items such as spatulas, pots, ladles and even kitchen towels can be hung on these hooks.
5. Mug Hanger
If you have a wall-mounted utensil rack, using cup hangers is the best way to store more items in less space. If your stand doesn’t have a cup hanger, you can attach a vacuum plug to hang your cup from below.
6. Shelf Divider
If your kitchen has large shelves and a lot of space left on top, it is wise to use shelf dividers to take advantage of the unused space. Shelf dividers are readily available online and can also be found at local stores that sell kitchen supplies.
7. Chalkboard on side of the fridge
Use the side of your refrigerator by hanging a chalkboard. This chalkboard can also be used as a to-do list, or to write down what you need to buy on your next grocery trip. If you usually plan your meals the day before, a chalkboard is a great way to write down the entire menu for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
