These red lines do have a seminal purpose. The Health Ministry informed that the medicines which has the red lines should be taken only on the advise of doctor. It alerted that these medicines should not be consumed without the doctor’s written a prescription.
Apart from them, even medical stores are not allowed to sell these medicines without a doctor’s prescription.

- Antibiotics, mood swings, depression and sleep are prominent elements in the medicines having the red-colored strip on their packets. Hence, these medicines should be taken cautiously and only on the recommendation of the doctor.
- At the same time, you will see that NRx is written on the back of the leaflets of these medicines, which means that these medicines are intoxicating and can be sold only by licensed people.
- On the other hand, Rx is also written on the back of the packet of some medicines, which means that the patient can consume this medicine only on the advice of the doctor, hence you should take a special note of this to avoid any unnecessary medical complications.
