With great enthusiasm and vigour, people wait to welcome the day. Sadly, it also has a lot of detrimental impacts on your skin and general health. What should we do to ensure a safe and enjoyable Holi?

Do's and Don'ts for Safe Holi - Safety Advice for Holi

  • On exposed areas like your face and arms, apply sunscreen.
  • Prior to going outside to play holi, oil your hair thoroughly.
  • Employ homemade, eco-friendly holi hues.
  • Drink plenty of water to stay adequately hydrated because the sun will drain all of your energy.
  • Use pichkaries and dry colouring to conserve water.
  • Have a first aid kit on hand in case of emergency.
  • Take a bath with a mixture of besan, curd, and turmeric right after the Holi celebration to effectively remove the colours.
  • What should we avoid doing to ensure an eco-friendly and safe Holi?
  • For Holi, avoid using mud, eggs, and varnish.
  • Colors should not be used near the eyes, nose, mouth, or open wounds.
  • Do not splatter colours on the plants and animals.
  • Colors should not be played if you have a known allergy to them or if you are aschematic.
  • Kerosene should not be used to remove colours.
  • Never leave children unattended.
  • Children should not be allowed to drop water balloons on one another since the water could be contaminated and cause an infection.
