New Delhi: Priyanka Chopra attended the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC) Gala in Mumbai on both days. Priyanka arrived at the star-studded event with Nick Jonas wearing a stunning custom Amit Aggarwal reimagined saree.
For the star-studded event honouring India’s influence on the global fashion scene through different eras, the actor wore a brocade Banarasi silk pre-draped saree and a bustier blouse. The designer is now sharing with netizens all of the details that went into creating the glamorous look.

Designer Amit Aggarwal posted to Instagram after Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas walked the pink carpet at the NMACC India In Fashion event to share the elements that went into crafting her dazzling outfit. He posted images to Instagram showing how Priyanka’s redesigned saree look was made. Amit claims that Priyanka wore an antique Banarasi brocade saree that was created with silver threads and gold electroplating on khadi silk and dates back sixty years. The six yards were hand-draped to reflect the nine colours of the Ikat weave set in brocade, and they were coupled with a holographic bustier.
The designer captioned the post as, “For the second day of @nmacc.india, Priyanka (@priyankachopra) in our custom ensemble styled by Ami (@stylebyami). It was crafted by pairing a sixty-year-old vintage Banarasi brocade saree made using silver threads and a gold electroplating on khadi silk.”
He also added, “This was draped over and structured with a jewel-toned, moulded body made with our signature unique material and paired with a sequin sheet holographic bustier to reflect the nine colours of Ikat weave that the brocade is set in. The ensemble was crafted across six months, with the original vintage textile handwoven in the craft clusters of Varanasi.”
