Dal Paratha Recipe: Ingredients
- Flour – 1 to 2 cups
- Leftover lentils – 1 to 4 cups (any dal)
- Oil or ghee – 3 to 4 tbsp
- Finely chopped onions – 1 to 5 cups
- water – as needed
- Optional- Capsicum, any other green vegetable including carrot
- You can also add coriander leaves, black pepper and black salt as per taste.
Leave the dough for sometime
First of all, mix flour, remaining dal, coriander leaves in a vessel well. Add very little water from time to time while kneading the dough. Apart from this, if you want to add finely chopped onion, green vegetables, black salt or chili, then mix it in the flour itself. When the dough is completely kneaded, keep it covered for 10 to 15 minutes. This will make the dough soft and the paratha will be very tasty. Then first make small balls of the dough. Then, after rolling it on a griddle, roast it on a non-stick or normal griddle. Apply ghee or oil as required. You can eat it with any vegetable having pickle, curd, gravy.
