The best option for this is Dal Maharani. This is a wonderful recipe with a very creamy texture, which is liked by most of the people. So today we are going to tell you its easy recipe, let’s know.

Dal Maharani Recipe: Ingredients

1 cup chana dal
1 cup urad dal
1 cup rajma dal
salt to taste
1 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 cup ghee
two bay leaves
two black cardamoms
four to five cloves
three red chilies
1 teaspoon cumin
1 cup finely chopped onion
1 teaspoon green chili
1 tsp garam masala
1 tsp red chili powder
1 cup finely chopped tomatoes
pinch of kasoori methi
1 cup cream
Coriander to garnish

Method

  • To make Dal Maharani, first of all you have to take all the three pulses and wash them thoroughly.
  • After that put them in the pressure cooker.
  • Then add salt, turmeric and water to it and cook for at least 5 to 6 whistles.
  • After this turn off the gas and let the dal cool down.
  • Then take a pan and put cumin and whole spices like cardamom, cloves, whole red chilies, bay leaves in it and let them crackle.
  • After this, add onion to it and fry it till it becomes golden.
  • Then add green chilies, garam masala powder, red chili powder, kasoori methi and tomatoes and fry it well.
  • After this, when the tomatoes become soft, add tempering to the lentils (put the lentils in it.)
  • Then let it cook on low flame for at least 5 to 10 minutes.
  • After this garnish the dal with green coriander and cream.
  • Now your Dal Maharani is ready, you can serve it with roti, paratha or naan.
