Dahi Cucumber Salad: This salad has dahi and cucumber, as well as some basic spices to enhance the flavour. It has a simple flavour profile, similar to cucumber raita, and may be combined with any cuisine.
Dahi Cucumber Salad: Ingredients
- 1 cup Sliced cucumber
- 1/2 cup Dahi
- 1/2 tsp Chopped green chillies
- 1/2 tsp Chopped coriander leaves
- to taste Pink salt
Method
Cucumbers should be cut in half and seeded. Cut each cucumber boat in half lengthwise, then in quarters. Cut into 1/4-inch sections crosswise. Put in a mixing bowl, sprinkle with salt, toss, and set aside for at least 20 minutes.
Combine yogurt, lemon juice, garlic, pepper, and parsley (or mint) in a medium bowl. Stir in the oil briskly.
Drain the cucumbers, return them to the bowl, pour the yogurt mixture over and toss well.
