Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp boiled & mashed Potatoes

  • 200g Paneer

  • 1-2 tbsp Besan or Cornflour

  • Oil for frying

  • Chili powder to taste

  • Garam masala

  • Salt

Step By Step Guide

Make The Kofta

First of all, you have to mix the mashed potatoes, finely grated paneer, cornflour, and spices together. After combining all the ingredients together, now shape the mixture into small balls and air-fry or deep-fry the koftas until it turns golden brown.

Prepare The Base For Gravy

Moving on the next step, now saute tomato puree, salt, ginger-garlic paste, and onions. Keep on stirring until it blends into a smooth and slightly thick paste.

Heat The Pan And Cook The Gravy

Following on to the next step, take a pan and heat the oil in a medium flame. Next, add aromatic spices and cumin seeds. Now, mix in the blended mixture and cook until you see the oil separating. Add cashew paste or cream in the gravy and combine well.

Add Water And Simmer For Few Minutes

In the last step, adjust the gravy consistency with water. Let it simmer for a few minutes.

Garnish And Serve

Once you dish is completely cooked, drizzle chaat masala and add some onions and dipping sauces. Serve hot with rice or chapati (if desired).
