Churmuri is very popular in Mumbai and Mysore.

Churmuri Recipe: Ingredients

4 cups puffed rice
2 small onions, finely chopped
2 small tomatoes, finely chopped
3 green chilies, chopped
little coriander finely chopped
21/2 tbsp lemon juice
1 tsp cumin powder
1/2 cup roasted peanuts
1/2 tsp red chili powder
1/2 tsp salt (as per taste)
1 tsp ghee

Method

• To make Churmuri, first of all put a pan on the gas.
• Now heat it on a low flame and then add ghee to it.
• When the ghee becomes hot, add puffed rice and fry it lightly but do not make it golden brown.
• Now take it out in a bowl and add chopped onion and tomato and mix it well.
• Now add black salt, green chili, red chili powder, cumin powder and lemon juice to it.
• Now add finely chopped coriander to it, and mix well while stirring with a spoon.
• Add roasted peanuts to it and mix well.
• Your Tasty Churmuri is ready. You can enjoy it with tea in the rainy season.
