Christmas is a very special time of year, marked by a joyful celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ. People around the world come together to celebrate it, primarily on December 25. During this festive season, many enjoy decorating their homes, Christmas trees, and even walls to spread holiday cheer. If you’re looking for fun and budget-friendly ideas to give your home a unique touch this Christmas, I’ve got you covered!
1. Ice Cream Stick Tree
Did you know ice cream sticks can do more than hold your tasty treats? You can use them to create a charming little decorative tree to brighten up your room. All you need are some ice cream sticks. Cut them into different-sized rectangles and arrange them as shown below.
Grab a piece of cardboard and cut out a fun circle and a star. Once you have your shapes, join them together, as shown in the picture above. Carefully cut a small rectangle in the middle of the circle to use it as a holding tool for the tree. Now comes the fun part: get creative with some watercolours. Paint the horizontal sticks green, the star bright red and the base circle a lovely brown. To finish it off, add a few artificial stars and small gifts for an extra festive touch.
2. Wall Decoration
Walls play a significant role in defining your room’s ambience, and if you’re looking to get a bit creative with them, I have a fun idea for you! Gather some old white socks and a piece of white chart paper. Start by painting about 80% of each sock red, leaving the tips white. Then, take your chart paper and cut out big and small shapes like stars, pine trees, and snowflakes. Use double-sided tape to arrange all your cutouts beautifully on the wall.
