Christmas 2022: Assemble your hymnals and nice, winter clothing! It’s time to start organising the customary holiday activities like Christmas shopping, gift-wrapping, eggnog consumption, baking, and, of course, carolling! We’ve compiled a list of the top 10 Christmas carols to get you in the holiday spirit.

Carolling didn’t entail singing when it first started in the 13th century. This type of carolling, also known as “wassailing,” was mostly used by neighbours to deliver holiday greetings and well wishes throughout the winter months. “Be well and in excellent health” was the meaning of the Old Norse word “ves heill,” which is where the word “wassail” originates.

Carols are primarily intended for social interaction and are supposed to be shared. This collection of traditional carols and hymns will undoubtedly accomplish that. Get your company together and decide which of your Christmas favourites to take wassailing!

1. “Silent Night” – Michael Buble

You’ll feel entirely at ease after hearing this tranquil carol!

2. “O Come All Ye Faithful” – Martina McBride

In this carol, the shepherds’ journey to Bethlehem to worship their infant Savior is mentioned.

3. “12 Days of Christmas” – Ray Conniff

The 12 days of Christmas are not before Christmas as is commonly believed. They serve as a reminder of how long it took the three wise men to travel to Bethlehem following the birth of Jesus.

4. “Do You Hear What I Hear” – Bing Crosby

This carol, which recalls the account of Jesus’ birth and was originally written as a call for peace during the Cuban Missile Crisis, is now performed during Christmas.
