Ingredients

  • 1½ cups of Macaroni

  • 1 to 1½ cups of Grated Cheese

  • 1½ cups of milk

  • coriander leaves

  • a pinch of Salt

  • Herbs

  • Chili flakes

  • Tomato Ketchup (optional)

Step By Step Guide

Prepare The Pasta

First, you have to boil 1½ cups of macaroni in salted water until it becomes tender. Now drain the excess water and set it aside for a few minutes.

Make The Base

In the next step, take a deep-bottomed pan and heat it over medium flame. On the heated pan, melt 2 tablespoons of butter and add 1 tablespoon of all-purpose flour, and keep stirring for at least two minutes to form a smooth base.

Blend In The Milk

Moving on to the next step, gently pour in 1½ cups of milk while whisking to avoid lumps. Cook the ingredients for about 2–3 minutes until the mixture thickens.

Add Cheese

Next, mix in 1 to 1½ cups of grated cheese (cheddar or processed). Combine well and keep stirring until the cheese is completely creamy and melted.

Mix In The Pasta

After you have completed the above steps, simply mix in the cooked macaroni to the cheese sauce. Cook thoroughly for the next 4-5 minutes until all the ingredients are well coated. Once cooked, remove the dish from the pan and set it aside.
