The festival of Holi cannot be called just a festival of colors because many types of dishes and sweets are made on this day. Which doubles the fun of this festival of colors. In such a situation, making gram flour barfi is also a good option. Its special thing is that you can make it very easily and quickly. So let’s know the easy way to make gram flour barfi.

Besan Barfi: Ingredients

  • Gram flour – 3 cups
  • Semolina – 2 tbsp
  • Desi ghee – 1 cup
  • Saffron food color – 1 pinch
  • Cardamom powder – 1/2 tsp
  • Pistachios Chopped, or whatever is your favorite dry fruit – 1/2 cup
  • Sugar – two cups

Method

  • To make gram flour laddoos, first of all, put ghee in a pan and heat it.
  • After this, put gram flour in hot ghee and fry while stirring well.
  • When it turns light brown, add semolina to it and fry while stirring well.
  • Keep in mind that the gas flame should not be very high, otherwise gram flour and semolina may burn.
  • Fry them till the gram flour does not leave the ghee, let us tell you that it takes about 20 minutes to fry it.
  • When the gram flour is roasted well, turn off the gas and take it out separately in a plate.
  • Now prepare the sugar syrup, for this take one and a half cup of water and add sugar to it.
  • Now cook it until a syrup of one string is ready.
  • When you are making sugar syrup, add a pinch of saffron color at the same time.
  • When the sugar syrup is ready, add roasted gram flour to it.
  • Now mix them well and cook for some time.
  • When its tight mixture is ready, then you turn off the gas.
  • Now grease a tray or plate with ghee and spread the mixture evenly.
  • Now let it set for two hours and then cut into desired shape.
  • Your tasty gram flour barfi is ready, now you can eat it yourself and feed it to everyone.
