Basant Panchami 2023: According to the Hindu calendar, Mother Saraswati was born on Magh Shukla Panchami, so every year Magh Shukla Panchami is celebrated as Basant Panchami, which is also known as Basant Panchami and Saraswati Puja. This time the festival of Basant Panchami will be celebrated on Republic Day i.e. January 26, 2023.

It is believed that mother Saraswati loves the yellow colour. That’s why on this day especially, yellow things are donated, yellow clothes are worn and yellow-coloured prasad are made. If you also want to make Prasad on the occasion of Saraswati Puja, then here are recipes for five parsad. 

Saffron Sweet Rice

There is a tradition of making sweet rice, especially for the worship of Maa Saraswati. The rice is prepared with khoya, sugar, dry fruits and saffron. In many places, it is also called saffron rice. There are many methods to make it.

Besan Ladoo

Make besan laddoos on the occasion of Basant Panchami. It is considered a popular sweet. To make gram flour laddoos, first, roast the gram flour in desi ghee. After this, add sugar and fry it a little, and then prepare it in the shape of a laddu.

Moong Dal Halwa

Shahi Phirni
